Why a Residue-Driven, Low-Carbon Agriculture Platform Can Scale in Emerging Markets

Agricultural emissions, soil degradation, and farmer income volatility in emerging markets are not isolated challenges. They are symptoms of a fragmented agricultural system, where residues, soils, crops, and livestock are managed separately—often inefficiently.

Most climate and agriculture solutions address only one point in this system. As a result, they struggle to scale, remain dependent on subsidies, or fail to align with farmer economics.

Our investment thesis starts from a different premise:

Low-carbon agriculture only scales when climate solutions improve farm economics first.

By anchoring the system on agricultural residues that already exist at regional scale, this platform restructures the value chain from the ground up—turning waste into inputs, restoring soils, enabling low-carbon food production, and closing nutrient loops through livestock.

Designed for Thailand’s Northeast and Nakorn Sawan, and built for replication across comparable regions, the platform offers a commercial, scalable pathway to climate impact in agriculture—without relying on heavy infrastructure or short-term incentives.
